Chennai Super Kings Appoint Sridharan Sriram as Assistant Bowling Coach for IPL 2025

The franchise has appointed former Indian spinner Sridharan Sriram as their new assistant bowling coach, following the departure of Dwayne Bravo to the Kolkata Knight Riders as a mentor.
Sriram, a left-arm spinner and handy batter, brings a wealth of experience to the role, having played 133 first-class matches and 147 List-A games for India. He has also represented the country in eight One-Day Internationals (ODIs). Sriram’s coaching career began in 2016, and he has worked as a spin consultant for the Australia and Bangladesh teams, as well as the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) as a batting and spin coach.
The 38-year-old’s joining the CSK coaching staff is seen as a significant boost for the franchise, which failed to qualify for the playoffs in the previous season, missing out on a spot to the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by a narrow margin. CSK will be keen to make a strong comeback in the 2025 edition, and Sriram’s appointment is seen as a means to achieve this goal.
Sriram will join a star-studded support staff, which includes head coach Stephen Fleming, bowling coach Eric Simmons, and batting coach Michael Hussey.
